Android operating system is designed so that you have several ways to configure the background, or wallpaper. There is a huge amount of pictures available online that can be used as wallpaper.
Android devices come in many flavors, developed by many different manufacturers. So you can imagine that decisions can vary very little from device to device. Fortunately have not made things too difficult for us. You will find that decisions about the same for each generation of device released. The so-called first-generation devices, such as the HTC Dream or HTC Tattoo, which devices will be working on Android 1.5 and 1.6, had a lower resolution, such as 240x320.Druga generation significantly better on this, bringing the resolution up to 480x800.Treća generation, including devices like the HTC Evo 3D, went a little further brings the resolution up to 540x960. Keep in mind that every generation of these devices are not necessarily the same, you'll have to look up to check. Simply doing a Google search for the name of your device plus a screen resolution should soon give its response.
Many people will become confused about what resolution you should be looking for a specific device. Especially when you know that your device has a resolution of 480x800, but when looking backgrounds for your phone online, all the results show pictures to 960x800. What's it all about? Well, in case you have not noticed, android phones come with multiple home screens, which can switch simply by swiping your finger left or right. You'll also notice that the background scrolls as you move the home screen. It does not move the entire width of the screen, but only slightly. Android phones pay twice the amount of pixels as the width of the screen to move the home screen. This does not necessarily mean that your background image to be twice the width of the screen resolution, but it can be up to much, and will look your best in this resolution.
So how do you get the picture to fit on your phone? One way might simply do a search on Google for images with a resolution of the device. Then you can simply right click on the image, choose "Save Image As" and save it somewhere on your computer. Now all you have to do is connect the device to a computer via USB cable, and copy the file to your device via SD card.
But wait, there is an even easier way to do this as long as you have a decent internet connection on the device. Just do a search on the web for images, tap and hold the image and select "Set picture as wallpaper." Many times you will be asked to re-size images to fit on your phone just in case that's not quite the same. For this reason, not necessarily put too much stock in the concern that the screen size you have.
If you really want to make this process easier, find a site that offers free wallpapers designed specifically for your device. Many have the ability to find the wallpaper you want and send it directly to your phone.
