Google Inc., developers of free software, has decided to reduce the Gmail application for Blackberry phones which are made by its rival, Research In Motion Ltd.
Unfortunately for many users the BlackBerry is widely used and popular applications will no longer appear on the phone to create the future. However, BlackBerry users who already have applications in their phones can still continue using the service.
RIM to find a way to suspend its business and operations with declining demand due to the decrease of their smart phone market. One of the main reasons for this decline in the popularity of Android phone and Apple devices that are pushed forward in the smartphone market is dominated by the current inustry with its popular devices.
Google's decision to pull out your Blackberry Gmail app from May sound like an inconvenience Blackberry users, but more than that, it should be a red alarm for Research In Motion, according to Roger Entner, an analyst and founder of the scout Analytics Ltd. Dedham, Massachusetts.
He went on to say: "It was more a symbolic gesture, because if you do, you can make it work, but the app does."
Even if the Google Mail application went from a Blackberry phone, users can still access their accounts through the browser. You can also try to synchronize my Google account with the BlackBerry service, which is a plus.
Google has announced that, while they stopped developing applications for BlackBerry, the company intends to put more emphasis on improving the mobile browser experience instead.
There is a decline in the global smart phone market for RIM, according to research firm IDC. In the same light, another research firm called Canalys said that Research In Motion's market share fell to 9 percent from the previous 24 percent, only in the United States alone.
Research In Motion is now putting its efforts into developing a new range of devices and new operating system in order to restore their customers and market share.
looks like a long way for the company, especially if the likes of Google is pulling back some of its services. This not only causes problems for themselves, but Rome after the fiasco they had in 2011, it also can break the trust and the interests of customers worldwide.
