Google tweaks and fine-tune their search applications on hourly basis. Some routines are automatically adjusted, the other carried a small army of masters and doctoral candidates to improve the mathematical results of Google searches, build a new Google applications, running quality checks through Google data centers around the world, and thwart the legions of spammers and hackers who try to manipulate Google search results.

There are, however, a variety of tactics and strategies that you can use to achieve top 10 results in Google. I am proud to say that my web development company has made hundredth Top 10 places for clients, and we add more of that list every day.

Here are some factors that will attract Google to your website and put you high in their search results.

Once the search engine friendly web pages

Is your website search engine friendly? Google publishes technical guidance and suggestions for building search engine friendly web pages.

Is your website easy to use?

Was your website built in such a way that makes it easy for human users to navigate and find information?

If your visitors can not find what you need in 5 seconds or less they will leave your site and move to the next page.

Google analyzes the amount of traffic a website receives, the amount of time spent on a Web site, and much more. This means that Google can determine the popularity of websites by amount of visits and length of time spent browsing your website.

It would be a good time to ask yourself if your website is interesting and appealing.

Existing Competition

Is there a large amount of online competition for your business? If you have a website selling women's shoes, flowers, or property, getting on page 1 Google will be extremely difficult. If your website focuses on a special short calls, page 1 goal will become easier. You can get an idea of how competitive the search term is looking at the amount of pages returned for a search query.

Go to google and search for 'women's shoes. "Small black print below the Google search box shows that more than 73 million references for this search term, not to mention the £ 1000 Web gorillas to the same phrase as as Macys and DSW and Zappos and supplies.

Brand new website

Is your site brand new? If your web site and domain are new it may take longer to get through the Google cache of your website. Sometimes this will happen quickly, and sometimes it takes weeks. Other experts agree it takes 6-8 months for a new website to obtain any meaningful positions on Google. Over the years I've seen both ways, where a new website to get quick recognition from Google and others do not.

Some companies will buy an existing domain name to get some traffic and ranking early in the process. But this will depend on how competitive the criteria you later.

Itsy Bitsy Website

Do you have a small site, less than 10 pages? Did you know that each individual page in your website is an opportunity to explain what Google are all about?

You can find out approximately how many pages Google found for your website in search of their domain in Google. In the Google search box, type the following: site: www.yourdomain.com . This is also a good way to analyze your online competition to find out how many sites have and how they formed their own meta-tags.
