a new Apple iPhone 4S proved to be wildly popular, despite only what is available in a few days. It has already sold more than 4 million units, more than 4 original iPhones sold in the same timeframe.
There was a lot of media hype about its release, as always with Apple products. However, at the same time, Samsung also reported record sales of its latest flagship, the Samsung S2 Galaxy.
Despite being against each other, which comes out on top? In this article I intend to learn, so if you're in the market for a new smartphone, or trying to decide between the two, read on ...
iPhone 4S
When Apple announced the iPhone 4S in a recent speech, they presented a number of improvements over the original iPhone 4 Among them are new dual-core processor, upgraded digital camera, and a number of innovative new applications, the most noteworthy of which is a new voice activated personal assistant called Siri. It allows users to implement a number of different tasks by simply saying the phone to do so. Much of what is good about the iPhone 4 remains, such as the display of the retina and superior design and quality manufacturing, while some of its flaws are ironed, as the antenna issues that some people reported. All in all, there remains much the same as its predecessor, but has had several upgrades in terms of hardware and software, as well as "S" in the title suggests.
Samsung S2 Galaxy
Samsung S2 Galaxy showcases what premium Android-powered smartphone should be. Performance wise (on paper at least), it matches the iPhone 4S, with a similar dual-core processor, high-resolution touch screen (though not quite on par with the iPhone's retina display) and an 8 megapixel camera with full HD video recording. Of course, when comparing the two, people will look for similarities in features such as Siri, the Samsung S2 Galaxy does not offer. But he says, it is available from April, and Siri is Apple's latest development, so they have time for their side. As mentioned, the Samsung S2 Galaxy runs on Android OS, with Samsung's TouchWiz user interface on top. Android and Apple iOS are two very different operating systems, so it would be unfair to say one is better than another, as in reality it is up to the individual's personal preference.
So, what is the better smartphone?
After being released lately, the iPhone 4S has the benefit, including the recently developed technology. No doubt about it to the big screen, camera and processor, but Samsung iPhone fits in most of these arenas. Applications are a part of the attraction smartphone and Apple AppStore offers little more than Samsung Galaxy S2 applications providers, Android Market, and the general consensus is that the better.
In my opinion the iPhone 4S only beats Samsung S2 Galaxy at the position, as well as multimedia applications ecosystem (integration with iTunes, iPod, AppStore) are superior to those Samsung device. Hardware wise, they are pretty level playing field, therefore, believe that choosing between the two comes to individual personal preference for either Android or IOS. In reality, they are both great phones, and depending on how you hook one chooses, it is unlikely you will be disappointed, because they both offer the best of their technology vendor.
